Seal coating season 2012
Well what a crazy Winter and Spring. We had a brief Winter and ran right into Summer and back to late Winter weather. This is sooo crazy, while the weather was warm it was to early for the seal coat mfg. to supply us with seal coat. Wouldn't you know it as soon as the weather shifted back to colder weather it was available.
Now to anyone out there let me tell you I've noticed some seal coat Companies have started seal coating. Now people listen, it is only advisable to seal coat when the temps are above 55 because of drying time. We have done some driveways and parking lots but we recommend a 48 - 72 hour dry time. It may be hard to stay off the driveway for that period of time but in these colder & wet conditions the bottom layer will not dry properly and can cause cracking and tracking (Your driveway will not last the summer) each time it tracks onto the streets tire marks and patches of gray will appear with wear.
We advise you to wait out the weather a little bit, let it warm up and then have your driveway seal coated you will be much happier with the result. Also don't let them tell you that your driveway can be driven on after 24 hours, it will cause tracks on your driveway all in all even though you hate to park else where we recommend 48 hours dry time even in the summer months. Most Companies would rather you drive on early and create a problem for you so you will have to call them back within a year. ALL SEAL has a 1 year guaranty on our products and service. We care about our customers and check on your driveways through out the 48 hour dry time. You work hard for your money and we at ALL SEAL respect this that is why we add the extra day dry time so you have the a care free driveway that will last.
Well everyone I am checking out here so have yourselves a wonderful Spring, I will post again soon! Bonnie
